Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What program do you use to create websites?
All of our websites are coded entirely by hand using a text editor. I prefer TextMate. We also frequently use Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator for creating and editing graphics, and other programs as the need arises.
Do you use Dreamweaver, FrontPage, or other website building programs?
No. These programs create sloppy, bloated code that is difficult for both humans and search engines to read. In our opinion, they are unacceptable for professional-grade websites. Coding by hand enables us to create clean, fast-loading, dynamic, and search engine-friendly websites.
How much do you charge?
It varies. The price depends on several factors: the size of your site, whether you provide your own design or ask us to create one, the complexity of your site's features and content, and the timeframe in which you need the website completed. We have built websites for as little as $1,000, and have worked on others that have cost over $10,000. Contact us to discuss your specific needs and receive a free quote.
Can't I just pay $19.95 for a website, like in that ad I saw?
Sure you can...and it will be obvious that you paid $19.95 for it. The old axiom "you get what you pay for" is particularly true in relation to websites. Given how important the web has become in marketing and establishing an identity for a business or organization, we don't recommend skimping on your website.
Do you offer any discounts?
Yes, we offer a 10% discount to nonprofit organizations. Contact us for more details.
